The drive along Highway 70 from Oroville, California to Quincy, California encompasses some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. To do so in a Dodge Ram Rebel is amazing. This truck is in direct competition with Ford’s Raptor, and Raptor is legit competition for Jeep Wranglers when it comes to off – road capability.
The Rebel isn’t a gas sipper. It’s rated as follows (but I didn’t observe these types of fuel economy numbers):
Towing capacity: 6,460 to 7,520 lbs
Horsepower: 395 hp
MPG: Up to 20 city / 25 highway
Notice that part where it says “up to 20 city and 25 highway”? I’m of the opinion that’s purposeful. The computer showed less than 20mpg on the highway. But, hey, when you can afford to drive a Rebel, you can afford to put gas in it. Just buy some stock in Chevron and you’ll be alright.
The engine in this truck roars. I was pulled over by a CHP officer because I let myself get carried away by that beautiful sound, along with the sense of power that came with pushing down the accelerator. Fortunately, I was let go with a warning. Must be that Rebel Privilege or something.
If you’re from Chico or Redding, California, and you’re looking for a good used truck consider this Rebel. West Mitsubishi offers this one for sale, and it’s got your name all over it!
